UKUMEHAME BEACH, South Shore Maui
| Most surf lessons will take place at Ukumehame Beach. Ukumehame is a perfect venue for beginner & intermediate surfers as it offers
gentle sloping long waves that break in crystal clear waters only three to four feet deep.This combination makes for fun rides that are friendly for beginners at a beach that is not very crowded. It also has a white sandy beach with plenty of shade for any audience as well as fun snorkeling along the beach. 15 minutes from Lahaina & Kaanapali Resort and 20 minutes from Kihei, Makena & Wailea Resort. Surfing location is 1000 yards west of Ukumehame Park, located across from mile marker 12 |
PUAMANA BEACH, South Shore Maui
| Puamana Beach is close to Lahaina and is a perfect venue for beginner and intermediate surfers if the winds are too strong at Ukumehame Beach. Waves at Puamana are gentle sloping waves and break in clear water close to the shore.
It also has a white sandy beach with plenty of shade for any audience you might bring along with you as well as some fun snorkeling along the beach. 10 minutes from Lahaina & Kaanapali Resort and 25 minutes from Kihei, Makena & Wailea Resort. Surfing location is 1000 yards south of Puamana Beach Park directly across from mile marker 19. |
NORTH SHORE MAUI
| For advanced private surfing lessons, surf locations will be on the North Shore of Maui if winds and waves permit. Depending on your surfing level and the surf forecast, the Rivers brothers will hand pick one or more user friendly surf breaks to surf during your lesson with them. Surf breaks will be chosen 2 days prior to the date of your lesson and directions will be given verbally over the phone. |
